Carey is a dog that has been trained using food rewards, toys, and praise. She knows a lot of tricks, but the issue is that this type of training, for the majority of dogs, is incomplete. Carey tends to ignore obedience commands in public and around distractions, especially if there are no treats involved. In this session, we use pressure from the electric collar to reinforce known commands. This gives the dog a sense of obligation and teaches Carey that commands are not suggestions—they are com
