C&NW #1385 Homecoming | Mid-Continent Railway Museum

On September 26, 2019 the new boiler for Mid-Continent Railway Museum's steam locomotive, Chicago & North Western #1385 was delivered and installed on the locomotive's frame. The new boiler weighs 41,000 lbs. Work on the locomotive is taking place at a machine shop near Madison, Wis. Yesterday we finally welcomed our Chicago and North Western #1385 back home to Mid-Continent Railway Museum with the help of many visitors, museum members, and volunteers!
