This week-end it’s ALL about Badminton Horse Trials… here’s a wonderful blast from the past. Badminton in 1968 - the year the winning combination was VERY unexpected. The pint sized Our Nobby, (the smallest horse in the competition) who stood at just 14.3 ½hh, with his 20-year-old part-time rider & student nurse, Jane Bullen (Holderness-Roddam) who’d been up all night before XC day working a night shift (!!) - took home the much sought after Badminton trophy.
