Here, Surgical Technology students Cidney Coster, Faith Hiemstra and Lora Collison are practicing a biopsy on a patient simulator. They're training to become surgical technologists (also known as scrub techs or surgical technicians), who assist the surgeon and make up one quarter of a standard surgical team (also includes surgeon, circulator nurse, and anesthesiologist).
