This is CGI - Yesterday, 19 September, marked the anniversary of Wing Commander Guy Gibson’s death in 1944, when his Mosquito crashed in the Netherlands. A year earlier he led 617 Squadron, the Dambusters with great courage and devotion. In our test clip he covers his friend John ‘Hoppy’ Hopgood on the Möhne Dam run. Hopgood’s mine overshot the dam and his Lancaster crashed soon after. A lasting reminder of Gibson’s leadership, and of the sacrifice they all made. We remember them. | SpitfireCGI
