Euclid Beach Park operated on the shore of Lake Erie just outside Cleveland for seventy-four years — and at its peak it had its own dedicated streetcar line running from downtown. It closed in 1969, and for generations of Cleveland families, it represented something that went well beyond a typical amusement park.
