This is a quick demo explaining how soap, detergent and/or surfactants work. Long story short, a soap molecule has two sides: 1) The ‘head’ attaches to soil/dirt and HATES water (its hydrophobic and lipophilic) 2) The ‘tail’ LOVES water (its hydrophilic) This combination means that the soap molecule acts as a bridge between soil and water. First it surrounds soil completely, meaning that the water loving tail is facing the water, which allows soil to be whiskey away!!! I hope you found this demo
