Westmoreland State Park is a gem of Virginia’s state park system. In addition to lots of other cool stuff, you can visit fossil beach. If you’re lucky, you might even find a shark tooth there (I did)! There are signs up warning you not to climb or dig for shark teeth on the cliffs next to the beach because they are constantly shifting and eroding. 📍Linn Run State Park Westmoreland County, PA If you are looking for a beautiful spot with an easy hike perfect for the whole family, these two short hikes are for you. 1. Adam Falls-1.3 mi, moderate loop with waterfall 2. Flat Rock—1.1 mi out and back with Industrial Ruins and Natural Waterslides. Be careful in the winter with the Flat Rock section—it is definitely slippery. I may know from experience 😬🤷🏼‍♀️. Both hikes start from the same parking lot off Linn Run Rd. There is a playground �
