Luther “Georgia Boy” Johnson, was born August 30, 1934 in Lucious Brinson Johnson in Davisboro, Georgia, USA. Johnson learned to play guitar on a farm in Georgia before moving to Chicago to pursue his passion for the blues. He backed the legendary Elmore James before James’s death in 1963.
