Zookeepers gave the Mountain Lions deer today. It's important to remember that although these animals live in captivity they are still wild and need to use their skills and bodies in natural behaviors to stay healthy. A Mountain Lion can carry several times its body weight to drag prey to a secluded spot to eat. Echo is sure doing a great job especially after having a canine tooth removed last year! One Mountain Lion needs to eat roughly the equivalent of an adult deer each week to stay healthy.
