Fast moving wildfires spread across the south coast of the Greek island of Crete overnight prompting 1,500 to flee from hotels and their homes. Several residents were treated for breathing difficulties but there were no immediate reports of serious injuries officials have confirmed. Homes were reportedly damaged as flames prompted by gale-force winds swept through hillside forests.
