October 5, 1980: On this day 44 years ago, the Baltimore Colts defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-17 in front of 50,631 fans at the Orange Bowl. The Colts were led by quarterback Bert Jones, who threw for 282 yards, 3 touchdown passes and 9 yard touchdown run. It would be the last game for Dolphins quarterback Bob Griese who left the game with a rotator cuff injury. It was also the last victory for the Colts at the Orange Bowl. It would be the final game for Dolphins quarterback Bob Griese, who left the game with a season ending rotator cuff injury. His last touchdown pass was thrown to Duriel Harris.
