Vice President JD Vance met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time since their squabble in the Oval Office earlier this year.
President Trump has said the U.S. could step away from Russia-Ukraine peace talks if they prove futile. VP Vance took it a step further by saying the U.S. is totally open to doing so.
The meeting, which also included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, was the first encounter between Vance and Zelensky since a heated Oval Office session in February.
Vance and Zelenskyy clashed during an Oval Office meeting in February. Trump is speaking to Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 19.
