Pederson (hand) is two games into a rehab assignment and has done 2-for-6 with one walk and run scored for Double-A Frisco. Pederson kicked off the assignment Thursday as the designated hitter and followed up at first base on Friday.

Texas Rangers designated hitter Joc Pederson — who had been assigned to the club’s Double-A affiliate to complete his minor league rehabilitation as recently as Friday — spent his in the Globe Life Field clubhouse.
