A runaway pet zebra has been captured in Tennessee. The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office says Ed was captured Sunday in a pasture.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The rogue zebra that’s become a Middle Tennessee celebrity over the past week was seen running in a field in Rutherford County Friday morning.

The fugitive zebra was finally captured in a field in Christiana, south of Murfreesboro in Rutherford County, on June 8. Earlier in the weekend, law enforcement was tracking the zebra with a drone.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, which had been searching for the animal that residents named Ed, said in a statement on Sunday that the zebra had been recaptured and returned to its owner.
