Tuesday’s overnight storm dropped 8 inches of snow in Galloway in Atlantic County and 7.8 inches in Cape May, the weather service said. There were widespread totals of 6 inches or more in Atlantic County and lighter snow accumulations in central and northern New Jersey.

As for the current storm, 1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast to fall in many areas of North Jersey before temperatures start warming up and the snow changes to a mix of sleet and freezing rain prior to sunrise Thursday.
