Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout is closing in on 400 career home runs and 1,000 career RBIs. Trout entered the start of a three-game series against the Phillies having the kind of season that has defined most of his last five seasons in California.

Though the Angels have struggled recently, they still have reason to celebrate. In his last 11 games, outfielder Mike Trout has returned to form a bit at the plate, hitting .271 with five home runs and 14 RBIs. Furthermore, the New Jersey native made history on Wednesday despite the Angels’ loss.

Mike Trout admitted to having a bit of an issue with his swing after going 1-5 from the plate in an Angels loss to the Mets on Tuesday.
