A Republican Congressman sold a Medicaid-related stock before voting for President Donald Trump 's massive tax and spending package, which affects Medicaid.

The measure cements into law much of Trump’s agenda and is being hailed by the president and his supporters as a major victory.

The House passed Senate Republicans’ version of the reconciliation package on Thursday 218-214 in a largely party line vote. Only two Republicans joined Democrats and voted against the bill — Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA).
