An eruption of the Krasheninnikov volcano in Russia expelled a huge ash plume and may be linked to the earthquake that triggered tsunami warnings on 29 July

The Krasheninnikov volcano sent ash more than 3.7 miles into the sky, according to staff at the Kronotsky Reserve, where the volcano is located.

Six Russian volcanoes erupted shortly after an 8.8 magnitude earthquake stuck nearby, with a seventh possibly to follow.
