The New York Knicks are in the final stages of making Mike Brown their next head coach, and they have an ideal candidate for their top assistant job, too. According to Marc Stein, the Knicks have eyes for New Orleans Pelicans assistant James Borrego the right-hand man to Brown.

Reports indicate that the New York Knicks are eyeing a top assistant to join head coach Mike Brown's staff, but there's a catch.

Brown’s second meeting included Dolan directly, as first reported by SNY’s Ian Begley. Begley confirmed Brown was indeed the first candidate granted a second interview, which was held in New York.
