A kayaker off the Chilean Patagonia had a very close encounter with a humpback whale. On Feb. 9, Adrian Simancas, 24, was kayaking with his father, Dell Simancas, in the Bahía El Águila area of Chile, near the San Isidro Lighthouse in the Strait of Magellan, when the pair spotted a whale.
