Kemi Badenoch announced on Thursday that Robert Jenrick had been sacked for plotting to defect to Reform UK. His resignation speech was found “lying around” and he had previously met Nigel Farage, the Reform leader, for dinner, with the Tory leader saying she had been presented with “clear, irrefutable evidence” that he was conspiring to jump ship.
Reform UK has grown from a fringe euroskeptic movement into a major force in British politics. By railing against immigration and the rising cost of living, the party led by Brexit figurehead Nigel Farage has siphoned support from the governing Labour party and Conservative opposition to fracture the old two-party system.

People Power Party spokesperson apologizes for Reform Party profiteering accusation
Ahead of the June 3 local elections, a spokesperson from the People Power Party made remarks toward the Reform Party, saying, “They are engaging in nomination profiteering,” but immediately apologized after the Reform Party protested.

Within just a few hours of being publicly sacked from the shadow cabinet by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, Robert Jenrick held a press conference to announce he was joining Reform. Badenoch cited “clear, irrefutable evidence” the Jenrick had been plotting to defect to Reform in a maximally damaging way.
