The Federal Emergency Management Agency has rescinded more than $80 million in funding to New York City, city officials said Wednesday, escalating a dispute between the Trump administration and the city over funds meant to cover hotel costs for migrants.

The acting head of the federal agency responsible for responding to disasters says he’s suspending payments sent to New York City to house migrants and that staff who made them will be held accountable.
