Heads up, sky watchers, this week offers no shortage of celestial awe. The full moon will reach peak illumination on Wednesday, February 12, and shortly after, on February 16, Venus will shine the brightest this year right near the moon.

This week’s Snow Moon, the second full moon of the winter, will appear appropriately colored in red and orange for the Valentine’s Day holiday. And the romantic lunar event will illuminate the sky for three days, starting tonight.
