A U.S. Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Battle Cats” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73 went down at 2:45 p.m., local time on Sunday, the Pacific Fleet said in a post on X.

A fighter jet and a helicopter based off the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz both crashed into the South China Sea within 30 minutes of each other on Sunday afternoon, the Navy's Pacific Fleet said.

The Navy reports all crew are safe and in stable condition after the incidents and that they will be investigated.
