Israel said the bombing of the airport, which was targeted for the second time this month, had destroyed the last plane used by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted,” the army said in a statement. Israel’s rescue service, the Magen David Alom (MDA), said there were no reports of injuries related to the launch.

The Israeli army claimed to have intercepted a new missile attack from the Houthi group in Yemen on Sunday. Military spokesman Avichay Adraee said the missile triggered air-raid sirens in Jerusalem and several nearby areas.
