AKRON, Ohio — A man already serving a prison sentence for rape, kidnapping and other charges pleaded guilty Wednesday to the 2016 murder of an Akron resident outside a barbershop.

Rondell Harris pleaded guilty mid-trial for the 2016 murder of 24-year-old Damon Harris, Jr., outside a barbershop on Copley Road.

Harris pleaded guilty to rape and kidnapping in connection with the sexual assault of a Mahoning County Sheriff's deputy.
