The festivities received a jolt of energy on Tuesday when MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Rose and others were removed from the permanently ineligible list, which opened a pathway for Rose's possible future induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
ESPN broadcaster Karl Ravech spoke about MLB's possible motivations for the removal of Pete Rose, among others, off the permanently ineligible list.
Mike Schmidt: "There's a cloud.. ... I think if you posed the question to all the living Hall of Famers right now, I think it would almost be 50-50."
