Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday notified customers of the deadlines and encouraged them to act quickly.

Rite Aid's bankruptcy plan, if approved, means that in the coming months all distribution centers will close, and all stores will either close or be operated by a new owner.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is advising Rite Aid consumers to use their gift cards and rewards before they can no longer be redeemed, as the drugstore chain goes through another bankruptcy filing.

Rite Aid has set over 100 stores on the path to closing during its bankruptcy proceedings in two court filings. See the full list of where they are.

The Rite Aid store at 5201 Spring Road, Suite 6 in Carroll Township, near Shermans Dale is closing, the chain said in a bankruptcy filing on Friday. More than 40 of the stores on the latest list are in Pennsylvania including three stores in Perry County in Carroll, Penn and Howe townships.

Pennsylvania is working to help the hundreds of employees laid off after Rite Aid announced bankruptcy. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry hosts a virtual rapid response meeting for laid-off workers.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act listing, the employer is laying off nearly 600 people at its headquarters.
