Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball has been ruled out of Wednesday's game at Orlando due to ankle soreness. Ball sat out the final three quarters of a 97-89 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday in New York.

For the final game prior to the All-Star break, the Charlotte Hornets will be without point guard LaMelo Ball against the Orlando Magic as he continues to nurse an ankle injury. Ball exited the team's loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night in the first half with "right ankle soreness" and did not return.

Nic Claxton scored 16 points and the Brooklyn Nets pulled away after LaMelo Ball was lost to another ankle injury and beat the Charlotte Hornets 97-89 on Monday night.
