Israel said it had struck Houthi targets including the last remaining plane used by the group at Sanaa international airport, after the Yemeni militants launched missiles towards Israel a day earlier.

Israel says it has launched air strikes on Yemen’s main airport in the capital, Sanaa, a day after Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired two projectiles towards Israel. The Houthi-affiliated news outlet Al Masirah TV reported on Wednesday that four strikes hit the runway.

Several foreign airlines halted service to Ben Gurion International Airport earlier this month after a Houthi-fired ballistic missile struck within the airport grounds. As a result, most Israelis now rely on the national carrier El Al and smaller airlines Arkia and Israir for international flights.
