Golden State is holding back on flipping restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga to Sacramento for a critical reason.

On paper, there’s a dramatic fiscal difference between the two. The qualifying offer would pay Kuminga $7.9 million for the upcoming year, while Golden State’s current offer to the fifth-year wing is reportedly a two-year deal worth $45 million. Needless to say, it’s a little more complex beyond those basic numbers.

Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors are reportedly still at a standstill in their contract talks. Per ESPN's Anthony Slater, there have been no "substantial" changes regarding Kuminga and the Warriors' negotiations over the past two weeks. Slater and others have reported that Golden State offered Kuminga a two-year, $45 million deal.
