BYD will offer the Seal 06 in both battery electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options. The electric version will be available in three trims. A base model will draw power from a 65.28 kWh battery and 170 kW electric motor, providing up to 520 km (323 miles) CLTC range.
In essence, BYD Dolphin Surf EV is a slightly redesigned, slightly larger and better-equipped version of the affordable Seagull EV.
The best-selling EV in Europe last month was the Skoda Elroq, followed by the Volkswagen ID.3, Volkswagen ID.7, Volkswagen ID.4, and Kia EV3. Meanwhile, the Tesla Model Y dropped to ninth place, while the Tesla Model 3 is in 24th place.
