Organizers of the “No Kings” demonstrations said millions had marched in hundreds of events. In Oregon, tens of thousands of people gathered in downtown Portland for two large protests -- one that began in Tom McCall Waterfront Park and the other at the Oregon Convention Center.
Three dozen protesters were arrested Saturday night in Denver on investigation of charges ranging from blocking streets to resisting arrest, according to the police department.
In Los Angeles, 38 people were arrested downtown on Saturday night, police said Sunday. In Huntington Beach, police arrested a convicted felon they said had a loaded handgun.
