AC Milan have announced the signing of Mexico forward Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord. Giménez was linked with a move to Premier League side Nottingham Forest last summer but will now link up with Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão at San Siro. The 29-year-old won the Eredivisie title in 2022-23.

Within 15 minutes, he and fellow debutant João Félix had combined for a game-killing goal. Giménez found Félix with an excellent through ball, and the Portuguese chipped Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar to give the Rossoneri a 3-1 lead that would end up as the final score.

Santiago Giménez completed his move to AC Milan in arguably the most high-profile transfer involving a Mexico national team player since Hirving "Chucky" Lozano signed for Napoli in 2019. AC Milan signed Giménez from Feyenoord for a reported fee of around $36 million.

The Mexican striker is set to make his Champions League debut with AC Milan in a highly anticipated clash against his former club, Feyenoord.
