The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was opened in 1923 with public financing. The University of Southern California campus is adjacent. It has remained the home for Trojans football for over a century.
The money will go to organizations like the American Red Cross, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, World Central Kitchen and more.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and 11 more professional sports organizations from the city banded together on Friday to host three donation events to benefit those impacted by the Southern California wildfires.
The L.A. area’s 12 professional sports organizations, in conjunction with Fanatics and the Fanatics Foundation, distributed $3 million worth of merchandise on Friday to area residents who were forced out of their homes due to the area wildfires. The distribution events were at Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium and BMO Stadium.
Roki Sasaki announced on Friday that he’ll join the Dodgers, doing so in an Instagram post. The Dodgers signed the 23-year-old pitcher from Japan for a reported $6.5 million signing bonus.
