China on Wednesday expressed its opposition to recent developments by Vietnam in the Spratly Islands, according to Radio Free Asia. Spratly Islands consist of more than 100 small islands or reef and are located in the South China Sea.

BEIJING - China’s military said it warned and drove away three Philippine aircraft that “illegally intruded” into the airspace near Spratly Islands on Feb 20. There was no immediate comment from the Philippine embassy in Beijing on the Chinese military's statement issued on Feb 21.
