The Trump administration is gearing up to investigate schools for potential Title IX violations for allowing transgender women to compete in women's sports, including San Jose State.

The order, called “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” is based on the Trump administration’s interpretation of Title IX.

The US Department of Education announced Thursday that it is launching an investigation into the MIAA for “apparent Title IX violations.”
