On Thursday at 2:46 p.m. an updated coastal flood warning was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC valid from Friday 3 a.m. until Saturday 10 a.m.

On Wednesday at 2:31 p.m. the NWS Wilmington NC issued a coastal flood advisory valid for Thursday between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. The advisory is for Coastal Pender, Coastal New Hanover and Coastal Brunswick.

A cold front traveling across the country will help to enhance showers and thunderstorms across the mid-Atlantic during the second half of the workweek, but forecasters are watching for the development of an area of low pressure,

The NWS Newport/Morehead City NC issued a coastal flood watch at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday valid from Friday 1 a.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. The watch is for Northern Outer Banks, Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island.
