Close will play Drusilla Sickle, while Porter will be Magno Stift in the movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel, hitting theaters Nov. 20, 2026.

Close and Porter join an increasingly expansive cast for the latest addition to the Hunger Games franchise. Beyond Zada’s Haymitch, the film includes Ralph Fiennes as the franchise’s latest President Snow, Jesse Plemons as games designer Plutarch Heavensbee, and Elle Fanning as the young Effie Trinket, still a social climber by the time of Sunrise.

Sunrise on the Reaping expands its star-studded cast with Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle and Billy Porter as Magno Stift. Set to be released on November 20, 2026, this prequel explores the intense backdrop of the Hunger Games' 50th edition.
