Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton indicated following Day 1 of training camp on Wednesday that the organization is currently engaged in negotiations with several of its contract extension candidates, including wide receiver Courtland Sutton.

Payton said Nix visited Brees for four or five days to learn more from the former Saints quarterback about Brees' knowledge of the offense and his routine. Brees, who visited Broncos practice back in 2023, was a two-time AP Offensive Player of the Year and 13-time Pro Bowler during his 20-year career.

Bo Nix has drawn comparison to Drew Brees early in his NFL career, so it came as little surprise that the Denver Broncos' second-year quarterback spent some time this offseason with the Hall of Famer.
