Armenia and Azerbaijan's leaders are set to meet with Donald Trump on Friday to sign a peace deal. Trump announced this on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Armenia has agreed to award the U.S. exclusive special development rights on the Zangezur Corridor land for 99 years. The U.S. would sublease the land to a consortium that will develop rail, oil, gas and fiber optic lines and possibly electricity transmission along the 27-mile corridor.

Donald Trump will host the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan for a “peace summit” on Friday while negotiated settlements to wars in nearby Ukraine, as well as in Gaza, continue to elude his administration.
