Walmart is set to pay $100 million to settle a delivery driver lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The suit said Walmart would mislead drivers about their possible tips and would reduce their base pay, among other things.

According to the terms of the settlement agreement, $79 million (including sums already paid) will be used to pay drivers.

The commission and 11 states said the retail giant showed inflated base pay estimates via the Spark Driver app and failed to pass through full tips in some deliveries.
