MACHADO MEETING: Trump met with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who presented him with the Nobel Peace Prize that she won last year. Per the Nobel Institute, a Nobel Prize can’t be revoked, shared or transferred.
President Donald Trump finally got what he’s always wanted after Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado gave him her Nobel Peace Prize medal during a White House meeting on Thursday. And Jimmy Kimmel thinks he knows what the president started doing with it the moment she left.
Trump’s initial reference to canceling the elections came during his Jan. 6 address to House Republicans as they gathered at the Kennedy Center to discuss their agenda for the year ahead. Criticizing Democrats, Trump said “they have the worst policy” and questioned “how we have to even run against these people.”
Clemency: President Trump issued more pardons this week, again rewarding allies and those who had funneled money to to his associates or donated to his political operation.
