The South Dakota banker Denny Sanford gave $300 million to Sanford Health to establish and build the Sanford Black Hills Medical Center, which is scheduled to open in Rapid City, S.D., by 2030.

"Black Hills deserve strong, reliable access to quality health care," South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden said in an X post.
