Minnesota’s Weather Authority has issued a Forecast First Alert starting midday Thursday and lasting through midday Saturday as Extreme Cold Warnings go into effect ahead of dangerously low wind chills expected across the region through the end of the week and into the weekend.

Right on time, the January thaw has made it to Minnesota as high temperatures the last several days have climbed above freezing.
