Minnesota weather: Frigid temperatures set in Friday, staying cold all weekend
It's going to be a bitterly cold Friday in Minnesota with subzero temperatures and dangerously cold wind chills. An extreme cold warning remains in effect until noon on Friday.
Dangerous cold has tightened its grip on Minnesota on Friday. The entire state is under an extreme cold warning, according to the National Weather Service. NEXT Weather Alerts are also in place for Friday and Saturday.
The state's record low temperature was recorded on Feb. 2, 1996 in Tower, a small community in northern Minnesota.
