The Christmas tree that will grace the White House this season made its first steps to Washington on Tuesday from a West Michigan farm.

This will be the third time on record that a Michigan grower is supplying the official White House Christmas tree.

A West Michigan Christmas tree that was chopped down Wednesday is destined for the White House. The concolor fir harvested at Korson’s Tree Farms, located in Sidney Township southwest of Stanton, will be displayed in the White House’s Blue Room.
