A team of soldiers from the 28th Infantry Division at Fort Indiantown Gap won the innovation competition earlier this month at the U.S. Army’s inaugural Best Drone Warfighter Competition.
Soldiers of the Army National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division snagged the award for Best Innovation at the inaugural Best Drone Warfighter Competition.
The new annual event, similar to Best Ranger and Best Sapper, brought teams from across the Army for piloting races, simulated hunter-killer missions and to demo their own inventions.
The new Project RED drone can retrieve a friendly drone for repairs or capture an enemy drone for intel exploitation.
