NASHVILLE − Vanderbilt baseball survived a scare from Wright State. The Commodores didn't against Louisville. And now Vanderbilt, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, must win three games in two days to advance to the super regionals.

Wright State’s best scoring chance against Louisville came in the seventh, trailing 4-0. WSU had runners on second and third, but Conlan Daniel grounded out to end the rally. The Cardinals scored twice in the eighth inning to seal the game.

Vanderbilt’s inability to capitalize with runners in scoring position haunted them in the Commodores loss to Louisville Saturday.
